    The new APS-U GNSS receiver was announced at this year’s Intergeo trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany. It will be available in 2012.

    “The APS-U provides multi-frequency capability together with GNSS heading, L-Band positioning and wireless communications, all within a hardened housing that meets military environmental specifications,” said Neil Vancans, CEO and president, Altus Positioning Systems. “With its wide range of interfaces and 9-30V power input options, the APS-U is an ideal GNSS solution for machine control, agriculture, aerial photogrammetry, heading sensors, and military applications.”

    • temerature range -30…65 Celsius
    • Power input: 9…30 Volt, ideal for aircraft use
    • output rate 20Hz
    • measurement rate 100 Hz
    • 2 Event marker inputs for sensors/cameras
    • 1 PPS output, e.g. for LiDAR
    • 3 USB connectors
    • 1 LAN connector
    • 1 CAN bus connector
    Altus expects to begin commercial deliveries of the APS-U in early 2012 and will be also available @ aerial-survey-base.
